Past: Education Building
Celebrating a tradition in teacher training that goes back more than 90 years, we opened our €14m school of education, early in 2019.
The new building provides capacity for our rapidly growing Education departments and we were honoured to have two of our distinguished alumni: Education Minister Joe McHugh and Junior Minister, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, there to mark the opening.
Present: New Academic Building
With over 13,000 students from more than 90 countries, we are constantly growing. As such we do what we can to invest in the futures of our student body.
We recently welcomed a Government grant of €25 million towards a new building project (total cost €57 million) to support the learning needs of the University’s rapidly growing student population.
Future: New Student Centre
Our new Student Centre will serve as a home-from-home for students and a focal point for student life. The new building is slated to open in September 2022 and serve as a hub for the Maynooth Students’ Union (MSU), clubs, societies, events, and a variety of activities that help to create that special sense of belonging that is so important to the Maynooth student experience.
