Campus Tour

New Development

Past: Education Building

Celebrating a tradition in teacher training that goes back more than 90 years, we  opened our €14m school of education, early in 2019.

The new building provides capacity for our rapidly growing Education departments and we were honoured to have two of our distinguished alumni: Education Minister Joe McHugh and Junior Minister, Mary Mitchell O’Connor, there to mark the opening.

New Education Building

Present: New Academic Building

With over 13,000 students from more than 90 countries, we are constantly growing. As such we do what we can to invest in the futures of our student body.

We recently welcomed a Government grant of €25 million towards a new building project (total cost €57 million) to support the learning needs of the University’s rapidly growing student population.

New Academic Building

Future: New Student Centre

Construction has started on the new Student Centre, in the green space next to the Phoenix Building on the North Campus. It will be the new home for our Clubs and Societies and is due for completion in 2023. The Student Centre will mark the next phase of Maynooth University’s campus development plan, which is aimed at providing the critically important campus buildings and infrastructure needed to meet the changing needs of students, staff and the wider community.
